Dermatitis Worsened By Hydrocortisone Cream

by Richard
(Australia)

Hi Nanette,

I think I damaged my face by using hydrocortisone cream for a few weeks for a dermatits condition. The skin became red and thin and I proceeded to use a cream like Aquaphor to create a barrier so it could heal. It actually became dry and flaky but then it started getting better and better. The other night I went into a hot jacuzzi and the next morning, I noticed the redness coming back. Two days later, it is even redder. Now what should I do? Have you heard of this before and will it ever go away permanently? Thank you for your help!

Response To Dermatitis Worsened By Hydrocortisone Cream

Hello Richard,

First, the discontinuing of anything harmful, such as steroid creams and such is very important for the healing process to begin.

You mentioned using Aquaphor and I must tell you that the number one ingredient in this product is mineral Oil which is the by-product of making gasoline from petroleum and since we use so much gasoline, it makes mineral oil very cheap for companies, therefore it makes the perfect (yet toxic!) filler. Further, the molecules are much too large to even penetrate the pores of the skin, so it sits on top of the skin with a greasy feeling and can actually make your problem even worse.

Our products work in a completely different way as they penetrate the 7 skin layers. First, wash with our FACE & BODY WASH which will gently cleanse your skin and begin repairing the skin layers without further drying your skin as so many soaps and cleansers do. Then apply our FACE & NECK THERACREAM morning and night. A thin layer is all you need as it quickly penetrates the 7 layers of skin and begins to unpack dry, damaged cells, lifting them to the surface and replacing moisture and nutrients to help restore your skin and reducing inflammation. The skin will respond quite readily to natural and wholesome ingredients such as you put on your skin in the way that it responds to natural and wholesome foods you eat and drink....so get ready to start seeing your skin return to a normal, balanced healthy state.

Please keep me posted on your progress Richard and contact me with any further questions you may have.

Warm Regards,
Nanette
