Dull Skin

I'm new to your site, but looking for a lotion or cream with at least 10% urea. I'm 60 years old and long for that "glow" or silky smooth look. Is the higher percentage urea in a lotion or cream the better for your skin?

Thank you. Very interested in your products.

Response to Dull Skin

Hello Susan,

You are not alone in your quest for silky, smooth skin. So whether 60 years young or any age for that matter, proper skin care must be implemented.

Let me begin by saying that just as it is highly important to put nutritious foods into our bodies, it is equally important to put nutritious ingredients atop our skin. In addition to the vitamins, minerals and herbs we place in our creams, we also use urea in either 5%, 10% or 20% proportions.

Urea is a compound naturally found in the human body and exists in every HEALTHY cell. The body uses the urea formulated into our products in the same way as the urea naturally found in the skin. Scientists call it a true "humectant" because it is an important component of the body's Natural Moisturizing Factor (NMF). Unmatched for its hydrating properties, urea can increase water content to the skin to a level of 97.8%! This is far more than any other natural substance. Found in the surface layer of the skin (epidermis), urea plays a vital role in maintaining the skin's moisture balance and the suppleness of the skin.

For the face area Susan, I would highly recommend our FACE & NECK THERACREAM which has 10% urea which is all this delicate skin area needs. For your body areas, I recommend our HAND & BODY THERACREAM which also has a 10% urea content and is superb for allover body use. Now, for the thicker skin of the scalp, knees, elbows, feet and ears, I recommend our DOUBLE STRENGTH THERACREAM which has 20% urea content. Studies show that anything higher than 20% is just not needed by the body and can actually end up irritating the skin.

Please let me know if there are any other questions I can answer for you Susan and enjoy using our fast acting products and the silky, healthy skin they will produce.

Warm Regards,
Nanette
