Flaking Dry Itchy Scabs And Little Bumps

My boyfriend started to get dry scalp and flaking. I didn't think much of it until he started to get scabs. Now it's been a year and he still hasn't gotten rid of it and he has a couple scabs on his head and I tell him don't touch it because it will just irritate it if he keeps scratching. But he doesn't listen and he scratches it until it bleeds. He also has a lot of flaking and just recently started getting little bumps at the back of his head. You could feel them but not really see them because his hair is in the way, but I would really like to know what is wrong with his scalp and how to help it get better. Please help.

Hello Melody,

Although it is difficult to say what is directly affecting your boyfriend's scalp without getting more information about him, I can tell you what my recommendations are to help it return to a healthy state once again.

Since your boyfriend's condition has advanced from dry, flaky scalp to include itchy scabs and bumps, the following is what I recommend for him:
