Is Your Shampoo Tear Free? Other Help For Eczema 3 Year Old. Thank You.

(Maryland, USA)

Hello.

Our daughter will be 3 in November. She has had eczema since she was 2 months old. I am looking for a soap and shampoo for her. I finally found one but it's not natural. Mustela Stelatopia Cream Cleanser. But her scalp is dry on the top of her head. So I am trying to find something else. She has asthma, allergies and eczema. So I have to be careful about using herbal things due to allergies (eggs, peanuts, tomatoes, grass and weed pollens). And right now the weed pollen here in Maryland is through the roof. I took her off all the allergy medicines she was on due to the side effects, from being a zombie to having a chronic cough during the night. But now because of the pollen her skin is terrible. Her eczema though is not really or never has been flaky or dry. Just red and very itchy spots. Especially on her knees, ankles, wrists, arms and sometimes the back of her shoulder blades and behind her neck. I'm nervous about using herbal and all natural just because of her allergies, but want to stop using steroid ointments. She also happened to contract right after her 1st birthday a very bad skin staph and HSV1 infections simultaneously. It was a very scary thing for her and us. I have used Aquafor about 2-3 times a day for the entire time. Can you offer any suggestions that will be safe for our little joy that we waited so long for? Thank you for your time sorry for the long (shortened) history.

Hello,

Certainly, that is a very long time for someone so young to suffer from eczema. Speaking as a mother, when our children hurt, we hurt with them! The first step, which is very important, is to stop using anything that is potentially harmful such as the steroid creams and ointments. Steroids can produce side effects that include: thinning and discoloration of the skin, easy bruising, permanent dilation of certain blood vessels, burn marks on skin, liver and kidney damage and a weakened immune system. The best choice will be products that are natural, are filled with health building ingredients, are anti bacterial, anti inflammatory, anti itch and can penetrate the 7 layers of skin and scalp. Our products have been formulated with these very properties and are safe and extremely effective for children and adults of all ages. You see, just as the body responds to wholesome foods, the skin will respond to health building ingredients.

For her very dry scalp I recommend using our HERBAL SHAMPOO TREATMENT. A very small amount will be needed and it will bring much needed moisture into the layers of her scalp where the dryness begins. As our shampoo contains no chemicals in it to numb the eye nerves, keeping the suds out of her eyes is recommended. Then, for her red, inflamed, itchy areas on her knees, ankles, wrists, arms, back of shoulder blades and behind her neck I recommend both our FACE & BODY WASH and our MY DAUGHTER'S HAND & BODY THERACREAM. Both of these products will help to restore her skin to a healthy balance as her eczema condition is relieved. Very importantly, bathing her in our wash and then applying a very light coat of cream will stop the itching, bring down the red inflammation and bring much needed moisture down into the 7 layers of skin.

Please keep me posted on your beautiful little girl!

Warm Regards,
Nanette
