Lichen Planus In My Inner Cheek

by John Daniels

Hello,

I have active Lichen Planus in my inner cheek which is very painful as I wear dentures which aggravate it when I eat or sleep. Jell-like pharmacueticals do not work because of increased saliva activity. What can you recommend?

Response To Lichen Planus In My Inner Cheek
by: Nanette From Skin-Remedies.com

Hello,

First let me say for our website viewers that Lichen Planus is an inflammatory disease and is a rash characterized by flat-topped, reddish-purplish lesions that most often appear on the wrists, forearms, shins, and ankles. However, in rare cases, it can also affect the hair, nails and the mouth - this is what we will address here.

Although oral Lichen Planus occurs most frequently in middle-aged adults, the direct cause is not known. Studies have resulted in classifying it as an autoimmune disease. This means that white blood cells which usually fight germs begin to attack the normal parts of the skin, mucous membranes, hair, and nails. There are cases of lichen planus-type rashes which occur as allergic reactions to medications for high blood pressure, heart disease, and arthritis. Identifying and stopping the drug helps clear up the condition within a few weeks. Some people with Lichen Planus can also have hepatitis C, and blood work can check for it.

Lichen Planus of the mouth most commonly occurs inside of the cheeks, but can affect the tongue, lips, and gums. Oral Lichen Planus is more difficult to treat and typically appears as patches of fine white lines and dots. More severe forms of oral Lichen Planus can cause painful sores and ulcers in the mouth - make sure that the sores are not caused by a yeast or an infection and are not canker sores.

There have been cases of lichen planus-like allergic reactions to dental materials but they are very rare. Patch testing may be used to pinpoint the allergy; removing dental material is recommended.

Careful daily oral hygiene is very important. Spicy foods, citrus juices, tomato products, caffeinated drinks like coffee and cola, and crispy foods like toast and corn chips can aggravate oral Lichen Planus especially if there are open sores in the mouth.

Here is what I highly recommend to cleanse your body and build up your immune system to help fight any autoimmune reactions your body may be experiencing. Begin taking our INTESTINAL BOWEL CLEANSER which is a special formula that will draw out old fecal matter off the walls of the colon and out of any bowel pockets as well as poisons, toxins, heavy metals such as mercury and lead and even remove radioactive materials. Over time, this formula strengthens the walls of the small intestine making peristalsis function at a more optimum level. It destroys Candida overgrowth, and destroys and expels parasites and relieves gas, mucous and cramps. You WILL see results throughout your entire bodily systems and enjoy greater health, energy, stamina and productivity.

Take our GREEN POWERHOUSE daily which provides the most complete nutrients, vitamins and minerals found on the planet in their natural, most effective form. Your body will quickly respond to the healthful benefits contained in this powerful formula. Please keep me posted on your progress.

Warm Regards,
Nanette
