Plantis Condition

Nanette,

I have a condition called Plantis where I break out and it comes from the inside. I'm told there is no cure. It has scared my body. My skin doctor has
me on hydrocortisone cream to help. Any suggestions?

Hello Wilhelmina,

There are many skin conditions that are a result of an internal reaction that the body is exhibiting. Know that the body has a great propensity to restore and repair given the proper ingredients. So please do not be scared, but rather I will help you gain an understanding as to how to address this concern. First, know that using hydrocortisone cream can be dangerous to your health as it produced harmful side effects. Recent studies further reveal changes in the shape or location of body fat (especially in your face, neck, back, and waist), increased acne or facial hair, menstrual problems and impotence. Not only this, but steroid use almost always produces a "rebound effect" of the very symptoms you are trying to get rid of! My strong suggestion is stay clear of hydrocortisone cream.
