Seborrheic Dermatitis On The Face

Hello,

I am interested in purchasing your products for my skin condition seborrheic dermatitis. I have also been dealing with this condition for about several years and it also flare ups as well especially between my eyebrows and all around my nose. My skins peels all the time especially in these two areas. It almost looks like a sunburn feels when it starts to peel. I have people who have asked me if I have a sunburn on my face. It makes me look horrible. What do you recommend for me? Please help.

I am a 16 year old African American female with a severe case of dermatitis in the facial area. I have tried several medications prescribed by my dermatologist, but they either irritate or dry out my skin. The flare ups can be very embarrassing and unexpected. Is there any help for this condition?

Dear Nanette,

My name is Pamela from Singapore and I have been suffering from Seborrheic Dermatitis for almost 4 years now but condition only got worse these past 2 years.

First of all, all doctors I sought help confirmed with me one truth..."there is no cure".

My scalp used to be the most problematic part for me as Ive experienced severe flaking and itching(which really drives me mad!)

My scalp seemed to be tamer now but it went down on my face and I can tell you it's a terrible sight! My whole face is plagued by red swollen patches and is flaking, itchy and stinging at the same time.

I've gone to so many doctors already and all they did is to give me steroid creams and worse is oral ketroconazole which made me sick. I do not want to put on anymore of these creams as it's coming back with a vengeance once I take a break on it.

I seriously need help before something happens to me with all these medications....

Certainly dealing with Seborrheic Dermatitis for four years can be trying to say the least. When you say that all the doctors have told you that there is no cure you do understand that they are speaking in the context of "no cure with their prescribed drugs and steroids"! Drugs and steroid creams simply mask the symptoms but do not provide a means for natural repair to the skin and scalp. Further, when you stop using these steroids, you will experience what is called, "the rebound effect" which causes the symptoms to return in an often worsened state.
