White Spots On Face

Hi Nanette,

My brother who is almost 13years old has got a few white spots on the side of his face. Our dermatologist has prescribed him DermaAid which contains hydrocortisone 1%. He's only been applying it for the past three days, but after reading about the effects of cortisone I'm a little worried and have now stopped him from using it. He still has the spots on his naturally olive skin and loves being in the sun. Do you have any suggestions?

Response To White Spots On Face

Hello,

First let me say that I am glad you have read up on the side effects of hydrocortisone cream and in turn, assisting your brother as well. It is a proven fact that steroid creams have been known to either cause or exacerbate hypo or hyper-pigmentation of the skin.

What I would highly recommend for your brother is to wash only with a hypo-allergenic and gentle body wash which contains absolutely no chemicals or ingredients that can be toxic to the skin. Our FACE & BODY WASH will provide this type of purity and will help bring your brother's skin in balance. Then, he should apply our FACE & NECK THERACREAM which is a deep penetrating cream which will penetrate the 7 layers of skin and promote optimal functioning of the skin processes helping to restore his normal olive skin tones.

Please let me know if you have any other questions and keep me posted on your brother's progress.

Warm Regards,
Nanette
