Will Urea Cream Help My Rough Skin?

by Janet Evans

Hi There,

I have a line of very dry rough skin along the back of my neck where I wore a heavy walkie talkie hanging off a metal laniard for 3 years. Will using urea cream remedy this? Is this the right approach? Will it go away? How long will it take?

Hi Janet,

Thank you for contacting me with your question. Urea Cream is fantastic for repairing dry, rough skin any where on the body. However, you should know that not all urea creams are the same. Most commercial companies try to put urea in the cheapest, petroleum based cream possible so that most creams do not end up working.

One of the biggest reasons why the majority of commercial and highly advertised creams on the market today DO NOT absorb into the skin is because of the mineral oil or other petroleum by products placed in them. Everyone knows that gasoline(yes, the liquid we put into our cars to fuel our engines) is made from petroleum and a by product of this process is mineral oil. It's cheap and there's plenty of it and the cosmetic and over the counter companies are loading their creams up with it in order to ensure a huge profit margin. In actuality, this inert molecule called mineral oil, is too large to even penetrate the much smaller pores of our skin so it just sits there, suffocating our skin and acting just like plastic wrap, not allowing moisture in or out. This is why these creams do not absorb.

We have specially formulated our products with organic, wholesome ingredients that contain either 5%, 10% or 20% urea. These health building ingredients penetrate 7 layers deep into the skin bringing with them the vital nutrients needed for proper and long lasting repair. So YES - using urea cream is certainly the right approach and it will repair the rough skin on your neck that has been damaged and rather quickly too!

Please let me know if you have any other questions and keep me posted on your progress.

Warm Regards,
Nanette
