I have a similar problem to those who have commented above. I have had dandruff for a while that has steadily gotten worse at age 23. I tried multiple shampoos. I thought I had finally gotten rid of most of it with a combination of Head & Shoulders, and some other kind I can't remember in a blue bottle. But now I'm getting severe itch attacks when outside, which is frequent when working, especially when starting to sweat. It lasts about 5-10 minutes and usually starts to calm down but it seems it might be spreading a bit to my face other areas when the itch is on.

Hi,
It's me, Sheela from India currently, basically from Nepal. I have a mid back level hair. I am having a very dry scalp since I migrated to India (2 years before)for my further study. And if the same thing goes on I don't know how will I continue 2 more years...my scalp wasn't dry up to this limit. I feel shy to style my hair in a ponytail due to dandruff. Would you please suggest to me how to get rid of this dry scalp?

Hi,
My name is Mindy and I have been suffering from what I think is severe scalp problem for years. I'm so happy I found this site because I'm so tired of this problem. The skin is very thick, flaky and goes right to my ears. I have been to my doctor three times and she has given me different things to try and although one of them seemed to work but it all came back again. My mom then bought me some shampoo. It too seemed to work ok but then it all just came back again. Sometimes when it does come off, this gooey stuff comes out of my head and the only thing that seems to stop it for a little is a zinc product a lady at the pharmacy recommended. My question for you is will your shampoo and double strength cream get rid of it and make it not come back? Also my mom is allergic to pollen and when she goes swimming in our lake at our cottage she gets awful rashes that last for weeks. Would the cream help that too?

Hello
My dandruff is bugging me day and night. My problem is that my scalp is weird. It is dry of course, so much dry that I even get dandruff in my eyebrows. Even after applying anti dandruff shampoos, if I just scratch my scalp once, dandruff surfaces up again.
Why I called it weird is because though, my scalp is dry, if I don't wash my head for a day, it turns oily and all the dandruff surfaces up and gets stuck to my oily hair. (I don't apply any oil but still it turns oily all by itself IF I DON'T WASH IT EVERYDAY) And if I do wash it everyday, then by the end of the day, dandruff is still visible again. So I have to wash my head everyday.
Another problem is the heat. If I stand in the sun for long, the heat makes my scalp itchy and after I scratch it, dandruff shows up.
Is there a solution to my problem? Any remedy or any product that I can use?
Thanks,
Sam

Hello Nanette,
I first got Seborrhea in the late 2000's, had biopsy in 2001 in my head, no more, to see if I had lupus....I was diagnosed with Seborrhea. It is back really bad now, about one month.
I've been using permanent dye, Nice and Easy over 20 years, do you think I should use another brand? Maybe I have become allergic to this dye, is this possible? I am going to take a dye test within a few weeks before coloring my hair, the reddish is on my entire hairline...98% doesn't itch. I've started using anti fungal cream and a cortisone cream for my conditions, tea tree, nothing is working. What products can I use to wash and creams? I'm AA, so I can not wash my hair everyday. I wash my hair every 7 - 2 weeks, I live in Philadelphia, very cold here now.
Thank you in advance and look forward to hearing from you real soon.

I started caring for my face only about 3 weeks ago with your Face & Neck TheraCream and just love what it is doing for me. I also started using your My Daughter's Hand & Body TheraCream on my body and it is amazing how the flakes and bumps have disappeared. I diagnosed myself with ichthyosis after finding the description of it on the net about 10 years ago. Sorry, I can't take a picture of my pre-existing skin; I used your products twice and it almost looks normal already.
I have had this skin problem since I was about 3-4 months old and am now 77 year of age. I have put up with embarrassment (people asking why my skin was so flakey and rough), and a constant clean-up of the flakes all over the house. I always had dry skin on my shoulders from on my head and dandruff shampoo did nothing. When I lived in cold weather my legs and heels were cracked and bleeding all winter long.
It is a pleasure at 77 years of age to have found a cream, lotion and shampoo that corrects my skin problem. Dermatologists that I have gone to periodically throughout my life never suggested to use a cream with Urea in it. Your products were what it took to have normal skin for me.
If there is anything I can do to spread the news to others that have gone through what I have please let me know. Sincerely, Ester McDaniel, Iowa

I've dealt with "normal" dandruff off and on over the year, but last summer it morphed into full blow Seborrheic Dermatitis. I lost hair, had eczema patch-like scales along my hair line, with an itchy and bone dry scalp. It was awful. I changed my diet and eliminated all processed sugars, alcohol, simple carbs, caff. etc. It helped some esp. with the itching, but it didn't go far enough to manage the flakes and dry scalp and hair. My doctor prescribed Nizoral and it seemed to work some at first but destroyed my hair which is now wispy and dry. I then tried Zincplex and it worked well in terms of "flake management" but it is drying and I still need to use it daily. And my hair was still so dry it wouldn't hold conditioner or even oil treatments.
Out of desperation I've tried every remedy I could find and take everything and anything in terms of supplements, yoga, etc. Then I cam across your products. THANK YOU! The Herbal Shampoo Treatment and especially the Double Strength TheraCream are right now the best solution to manage this condition. And though I'm not rid of the flaking 100% yet, the dry - pulling scalp are a thing of the past. Most of my hair has grown back and more importantly, it feels "normal" again.
I have a process by which I wet my hair slightly and rub in your TheraCream onto my scalp and then comb through. I leave it on anywhere from a few hours to overnight. Next I wash my hair with your wonderful Herbal Shampoo Treatment, and WHA-LA, my hair feels wonderful and scalp is 90% plus free of flakes.
Cheers, Ivan Costa

Hello,
My name is Ranesha. My daughter has been having these sores since about September of 2010...and I've put all kinds of ointments on it and nothing works. She just scratches and scratches till it bleeds and looks like a boil and stuff oozes out of it. I've even poured peroxide on her head but it just changed her hair color....what do you suggest.....??

I have been using your hair shampoo for about a year and I have no flakes anywhere on my scalp anymore. I also wish to tell you that your Lip Balm is OUTSTANDING! I have used it for two days and my lips feel the best they have felt in my whole 77 years of life. I have had Ichthyosis since I was a few months old and have had problems all my life. I also am using "My Daughter's Hand Cream" and it feels so, so good after my showers. Thank you for being there for me when I need you. You have excellent products.

I have had dandruff for many years and I tried prescription and over the counter dandruff shampoos. Your Herbal Shampoo Treatment shampoo does it all and it gets rid of the dandruff while making my hair manageable, soft and it brings out the shine.
As a professional women I wash my hair often and your shampoo provides the best results for the look and feel I want while nourishing my scalp.

Hello Nanette,
Today, I received my jar of Double Strength TheraCream and Herbal Shampoo. I would just like to ask a couple of questions about its use if I may.
At the moment I have an excessively dry scalp, more than usual, which began on an overseas trip a month ago, the different water and allergy fraught spring time made the problem worse. Back here in Australia it is winter which causes my skin to be dry anyway. The scalp is really tight and flaky, sometimes it feels quite sore. It is not in patches but covers the whole scalp, this has caused my hair to become thinner all over especially the crown where you can see my scalp. I have always had a dry scalp and battled it all my life, I guess it was exacerbated when I developed type 1 diabetes at age 15. I usually wash my hair once a week because of the dryness, therefore the questions I want to ask is how much of the Double Strength TheraCream should I apply at one time? Also I was reading that to help with the dryness, the cream should be applied, left overnight and washed out the next morning and to encourage hair growth so should the cream be applied more often and how many times a week should I go through this process to get the proper results?
I have taken some photos of my scalp now and I look forward to your advice so I can start the treatment. On completion, I will take more photos and send the results.
Kind regards
Helen

Hi Nanette,
I have had severe scalp problems since I was a kid and it gets worse over time. I have very itchy, flaky, irritated skin...it seems to be in patches, although its gotten so bad I can't tell anymore :o( I'm also experiencing a big reoccurring dry patch under my chin leading down to my neck on my right side. It comes and goes...it's also itchy and every now and again a similar rash appears around the corners of my nose. When I hit 23 I developed congested skin and acne....I'm so upset. I'm doing a parasite cleanse right now and I eat extremely clean...the majority of my diet is raw, I add in brown rice, quinoa, hard boiled eggs, and lean meats (mostly fish). I take supplements also. Please, please help...doctors only make it worse and they want to put me on Acutane. Thank you so much!

I have a very dry scalp and I think it's due to an under active thyroid. My hair is also short layered and very unmanageable and I style my hair. But 3 weeks ago I got a 12 week blow dry and my scalp has got worse - could it be the shampoo keratin that I use for this?

I was wondering if Sulfur 8 Shampoo is good to use. My scalp is irritated in the middle and flaky around the edges of my hair. The shampoo has relieved the itching for the most part...now my question is will using the shea butter on my scalp relieve my symptoms and should I use a different shampoo? Also, the dermatitis around my nose has left the sides of my nose black and discolored, will the shea butter alone decrease the discoloration or should I add another method?

My hair is naturally long and quite healthy. Everyone plays with it and adores it, but recently my scalp has been itching like crazy, and I've had so much dandruff falling off that I see it on my laptop! I wake up in the middle of night just scratching, so I comb my hair and I see LOTS of hair fall out. I use Garner, and Suave shampoo and conditioner. But they have never affected me before. My diet has been balanced also. It is winter , and that may be the cause, but it hasn't happened before either. So I have no idea what the problem could be. Do you have any idea?

My boyfriend started to get dry scalp and flaking. I didn't think much of it until he started to get scabs. Now it's been a year and he still hasn't gotten rid of it and he has a couple scabs on his head and I tell him don't touch it because it will just irritate it if he keeps scratching. But he doesn't listen and he scratches it until it bleeds. He also has a lot of flaking and just recently started getting little bumps at the back of his head. You could feel them but not really see them because his hair is in the way, but I would really like to know what is wrong with his scalp and how to help it get better. Please help.

My four year old son had a patch of dry, itchy, flaky skin on his head. At times it would be so bad that he would scratch and cut himself. I tried everything for a year. Nothing worked...until I tried your Herbal Shampoo Treatment and Double Strength TheraCream. Within a couple of days it was healed. His head hasn't itched ever since I started using the shampoo and cream. I am so relieved! I won't use any other shampoo. Really, yours is the best! I would recommend these products to anyone and everyone.
Happy Holidays!

Hi,
I've been fighting very dry, itchy scalp for some time now. It was under control when I was using Nizoral Anti-Dandruff Shampoo - been using it for about a year now, and then all of a sudden, this winter, the dry, itchy scalp returned. My scalp is so dry that when I even rub my scalp, I get uncontrollable dandruff and it's embarrassing and makes me very self conscious. I've tried MILLIONS of products and they never worked, so will your products work for me? Also,do you offer conditioner along with your shampoo, since I'm a daily user of conditioner after shampooing my hair.
Please let me know.
Thank you!

I am a male, 23, and very healthy. I'm fit, workout and follow a good diet with solid amounts of protein, while drinking 4-6 litres of water a day. However the last year I noticed my hair is thinning, and my head is itchy a lot. I scratch or rub it and tons of flakes cascade down like snow and my hair doesn't seem to fall but jump.
I used to shampoo everyday, unknowing of the harms involved, and as I grew my hair out a few years ago, my hair was never voluminous- but still a full head, I did notice I seemed to shed a lot but never took note really. I had had curly shoulder length hair, which I just recently shaved down as I noticed it really looking haggard, and a bald spot coming in the back, also to avoid me pulling anymore out when scratching.
On my dad's side the males all have full hair still into old age. On my mom's side the men lose their hair in their early-mid 30s. I take more after my moms side for sure but I would still like my hair for another ten years before saying goodbye, as well as to appease my itchy scalp. I switched about 6 weeks ago to a completely all natural shampoo, and only use it 3x every two weeks or so. Is there any way, or treatment I can use to revitalize my scalp to help allow healthy hair growth?
Hoping,
Steve
