Hello,

I certainly understand how painful the dry, cracked skin on your hands and feet can be and I am very sympathetic to you in dealing with this psoriasis condition. We have a number of customers with similar symptoms and the two products I would highly recommend are our DOUBLE STRENGTH THERACREAM which will add the much needed moisture in the 7 layers of skin and our FACE & BODY WASH which will begin the moisturizing process as well as provide anti bacterial protection.

Please keep me posted on your progress.

Warm Regards,
Nanette

Rx Urea Cream

by Collette

Hi!

I just went to a dermatologist today for horribly
dry feet! My hands look like crape paper.
They gave me a script for 40% urea cream...I googled Urea to see what it is and found your site. I just read the label and it has mineral oil in it as well...What are your thoughts on me using this?

Thank you for your time!!
Sincerely,
Collette

Hello Collette,

Many people experience dry feet and dry hand syndrome which represents dryness that especially affects the extremities. There are several things that I'm going to tell you about a prescription for 40% urea as given by your dermatologist.

First, any amount of urea over 20% will not provide you any more benefit and in fact, can even, irritate the skin. You may recall the saying, "Too much of a good thing", well it applies here. This is why our strongest product, our DOUBLE STRENGTH THERACREAM, contains the maximum amount of 20% urea for those areas of the body that have thicker skin or conditions that tend to be "resistant".

Secondly, most prescriptions are in a mineral oil or petroleum base. Mineral Oil is the by-product of making gasoline from petroleum and since we use so much gasoline, it makes mineral oil very accessible for companies, therefore it makes the perfect "cheap" (yet toxic!) filler. Further, the molecules are much too large to even penetrate the pores of the skin, so it sits on top of the skin with a greasy feeling and can actually make your problem even worse. It's comparable to placing saran wrap on the skin which would suffocate the activity of the skin cells!

Please let me know if you have any other questions Collette.

Warm Regards,
Nanette

Hello Sabrina,

Symptoms of dry, red, cracking and peeling skin on the foot area is so universally common that it pervades every age. When it affects our children it can be especially frustrating to find a solution. More and more moms like yourself are looking for natural, healthy alternatives to care for their children's needs. I would highly recommend first cleansing with our Face & Body TheraCream which is gentle and thorough followed by an application of our Double Strength TheraCream twice daily. This super thick and rich cream is formulated especially for the thicker skin on the foot area to soothe and highly moisturize deeply.

Please keep me posted on your son's progress.

Hi there,

First I will explain to our viewers that keratoderma is a term that means marked thickening of the skin. Palmoplantar refers to the skin on the soles of the feet and palms of the hands and these are the areas keratoderma affects most often. I would highly recommend having your daughter cleanse with our All Over Face & Body Wash and follow this with an application of our Double Strength TheraCream twice daily. This combination works quickly to help restore the skin and bring it back to a healthier balance.

Please keep me posted on your daughter.

Warm Regards,

Hello,

First, you are very welcome! It is our passion to provide the most helpful information on natural, health building remedies! To answer your question, psoriasis scales on the bottom of the feet can be extremely thick indeed. What I recommend to my folks who wish to prepare the feet just before applying our DOUBLE STRENGTH THERACREAM is this: Fill a basin with tepid (moderately warm; lukewarm) water about half full. Then squeeze out a drop or two of our FACE & BODY WASH, stir thoroughly and then proceed to soak your feet in this solution for about 10 to 15 minutes. After you remove your feet from the water, gently pat dry your feet and apply a layer of the DOUBLE STRENGTH THERACREAM. The FACE & BODY WASH will cleanse and remove bacteria and external debris while helping to let in moisture and the warm water will help to open up the 2000 pores located on the soles of the feet making this an optimum way for the cream to begin its work of unpacking dry, damaged cells and adding much needed moisture.

Please keep me posted on your progress.

Warm Regards,
Nanette

Response To "Does Urea Cream Helps With Toenail Fungus?"
by: Nanette from Skin-Remedies.com

Hello,

I see a large number of people with this very problem. Some people are more susceptible than others, and contract it with mild to severe symptoms. Some factors that permit this disease include:
1) the abnormal pH level of the skin,
2) trauma to the nail,
3) poor hygiene of the foot,
4) susceptibility (such as decreased immunity) of the person who has contact with the fungus.

Over 11% of the North American population have fungus of the toenails, and it is one of the most common ailments that foot specialists attend to.

Actually, fungal infections are very common on both fingernail and toenails. It is a living organism that thrives in dark, damp environments such as under and around nails. Toes are more likely to be affected by fungus since it is attracted to a dark and damp environment which is more common on the foot than on the hand.

In more severe conditions, affected nails can have a yellowish or brownish discoloration. They may thicken or become brittle over time, and may even shed. Sometimes the nails have crumbling edges. I know it can be embarrassing, unsightly, disfiguring, and at times, painful.

Here is what I recommend you do to remove the fungus and repair the damaged nail area.
1) First, file the infected nail thin so that the following treatment can penetrate the nail more effectively.
2) Combine our DOUBLE STRENGTH THERACREAM that contains a whopping 20% urea with a few drops of our TEA TREE OIL and apply to the affected toenail.
Do this morning and night. The deep anti-bacterial penetration of this unique cream along with the anti-septic quality of this powerful oil will provide the anti-microbial and anti-fungal treatment needed to remove this fungus growth.
3) When drying your feet, be very thorough in removing all topical moisture.
4) Wear natural cotton socks and wear breathable shoes whenever possible.

Stay faithful to this program and you should be free of your toenail fungus problem.

Warm Regards,
Nanette

Bleeding Tops Of Feet Due To Psoriasis

by Debbbie
(Houston, TX 77043)

Hi,

When I turned 30, I got psoriasis on the top of my right foot. For almost 5 years, I had horrible stages of sores, red from scratching, bleeding, pus, aches due to skin stretching when I walked. When it would start to get better, the dryness of the skin would hurt. I have used every cream, ointment out there. Because I teach, and wear socks, it seems the area would never get cured. After 5 years, I got a horrible sun burn, but guess what, my psoriasis on my right foot disappeared. But it came back with a vengeance on my left foot. I am now 43, and am sick and tired of not being able to go barefoot because of the horrible state of my foot. I cannot get pedicures because no one will touch it. I don't go to the beach or river for fear of something entering the open sores of my foot. By the end of the day, my foot itches horribly.

Respone To Psoriasis Comment
by: Nanette From Skin-Remedies.com

Hello Joey,

You've been struggling with psoriasis for over 20 years with no relief from anything you have tried so I know how frustrated you are feeling.
The following treatment is what I highly recommend to relieve and restore the areas of psoriasis on your feet, legs and inside your nostril.

1) You will need to first wash the affected area with our hypo-allergenic body wash which contains absolutely no chemicals or ingredients that can be toxic to the skin. Our FACE & BODY WASH will add moisture to your skin and begin the repair process.

2) Next, apply our DOUBLE STRENGTH THERACREAM to the affected areas to unpack dry, hardened cells 7 layers deep as well as to add necessary moisture to your skin and relieve itching. This "double the strength" formula was made for the thicker skin on the feet as well as for the thicker scales that generally form with psoriasis and can add abundant moisture as well as stop the itching you have been experiencing. This is a fast working cream that contains plenty of vitamins and nutrients to fortify and protect your skin with anti bacterial and anti fungal properties for added protection.

Please keep me Joey posted as you begin your regimen.

Warm Regards,

My psoriasis showed up on the tops of both my feet when I was 16 I just thought they were sores that just wouldn't heal. I tried everything they got worse two years ago when I was trucking up north. That's when I finally went to the doctor and was told it was psoriasis. I tried all the creams on the market today and all work at first then they all just stopped working. My doctor even tried giving me the shots and that didn't work. I have gotten so used to the itching and pain by now. I am in my 30's now and have only worn sandals for the past two years any time I wear socks and shoes they get worse. I don't care about what people say. I've now got the red rashes on my legs and that doesn't stop me from wearing shorts. But the wort is I now have the plaque between my nostrils. So from a short distance it always looks like I have a booger.

Response To: Bleeding Tops Of Feet Due To Psoriasis
by: Nanette From Skin-Remedies.com

Hello Debbie,

I certainly can understand your frustration at not being able to go barefoot or even get a pedicure because of the psoriasis on your foot. I'm not sure what creams and ointments you have been using but I can tell you that most products on the market today, simply do not penetrate the 7 layers of skin and therefore are incapable of truly providing long term relief and repair of psoriasis. If you have been using steroid or hydrocortisone creams/ointments as well during your 13 year psoriasis condition, I must tell you that this drug carries a number of side effects and health risks that you should know about. These side effects include: thinning and discoloration of the skin, easy bruising, permanent dilation of certain blood vessels, burn marks on skin, liver and kidney damage and a weakened immune system. Many times, steroid use actually provokes a psoriasis condition to respond by getting much worse, appearing elsewhere on the body or spreading.

For our website viewers, I will say that psoriasis affects the skin by causing thick red , silvery scales and flaky skin patches to form causing sensitive skin. Sometimes pus-filled blisters form. Most of the time, the skin on the elbows, knees and feet is affected, but a rash can occur anywhere on the body, including the scalp, fingernails and ears, and even the skin over the joints. Further, the reason the skin becomes thick and red is that the skin cells are growing faster than normal. Because of their rapid growth, there isn't enough time for the cells to shed (fall off). As a result, the cells pile up on top of each other, making thick, scaly patches on your skin.

The following treatment is what I highly recommend to relieve and restore the areas on your foot suffering from psoriasis.
1) Wash the affected area with our hypo-allergenic and gentle body wash which contains absolutely no chemicals or ingredients that can be toxic to the skin. Our FACE & BODY WASH will add moisture to your skin and begin the repair process.

2) Next, apply our DOUBLE STRENGTH THERACREAM to the affected areas to unpack dry, hardened cells 7 layers deep as well as to add necessary moisture to your skin. Sweaty Dry Hands With Cracked Cuticles And Heels

by Kim

I have never found a hand cream that would absorb into the palms of my hands. I am a sweater so creams just make me slippery. This goes double for my feet. Well, actually my entire body seems to refuse to absorb lotions and creams. For my hands it is so bad I can't hold a pen. I usually put it on and wash it off afterwards on the palm. Why does this happen and what lotions or creams help with this. I am severely dry with cracked cuticles and heels.

Response to Sweaty Dry Hands With Cracked Cuticles And Heels
by: Nanette from Skin-Remedies.com

Hi Kim,
First let me say that your body (Sympathetic Nervous System) naturally secretes sweat to cool down the body. But, in some cases, up to 1% of the population has excessive sweating where the body (Sympathetic Nervous System) overworks to cool down the internal body temperature. This condition is known as hyperhidrosis and can occur on the hands, feet, armpits or face. The cause is unknown. In very rare cases, hyperhidrosis of the palms and soles is thought to be inherited as an autosomal dominant genetic trait. One must distinguish between idiopathic hyperhidrosis from excess sweating due to malfunction of the thyroid or pituitary gland, infection, diabetes mellitus, tumors, gout, and menopause and stress in general. Whether or not emotional stress is the instigator, stress does make the sweating worse and there is a great need to calm overactive sweat glands.

Having a firm belief in holistic treatments, I will give you my internal as well as external (creams for the skin) recommendations as both are equally important here. Internally you should start with our INTERNAL BOWEL CLEANSER as this will begin to clean your bodily systems from the inside out. Toxins accumulate in the bowels and begin to permeate the blood stream and cause many of the symptoms and maladies that exist today including the many skin problems. Next I would take in high green nutrition such as what is found in our GREEN POWERHOUSE. It is the most potent and highly nutritive product on the planet. This will further help in the strengthening and restoration of the body and skin.

For your dry, cracked cuticles and heels I would recommend our HAND & BODY THERACREAM for your hands and our DOUBLE STRENGTH THERACREAM for the thicker skin on your heels. Each of these creams are hypoallergenic and filled with rich, wholesome ingredients to penetrate the 7 layers of skin to provide healing "deep down" with complete absorption necessary for the replenishing of much needed moisture.

One of the biggest reasons why the majority of commercial and highly advertised creams on the market today DO NOT absorb into the skin is because they contain the dreaded mineral oil or other petroleum by products....yikes! Everyone knows that gasoline(yes, the liquid we put into our cars to fuel our engines) is made from petroleum and a by product of this process is mineral oil. It's cheap and there's plenty of it and the cosmetic and over the counter companies are loading their creams up with it in order to ensure a huge profit margin. In actuality, this inert molecule called mineral oil, is too large to even penetrate the much smaller pores of our skin so it just sits there, suffocating our skin and acting just like plastic wrap, not allowing moisture in or out. This is why the creams you have been using in the past do not absorb. Please let me know how you are progressing and if you have any other questions.....I am here for you.
Warm Regards,
Nanette

Hello Ms. Nesmith,

We ship all around the globe and as soon as we receive an order, we ship within 24 business hours. If you are located within the United States, we ship via USPS PRIORITY MAIL which is fast and extremely efficient. Many orders are received by our customers within 3 to 5 business days.

If you are located outside of the U.S.A., then we either ship USPS PRIORITY International Mail or First Class International Mail (which is the customers choice) and an order should be received within 6 to 10 business days.

My strong recommendation for which of our products you should use on your feet as you prepare for your daughter's wedding is our DOUBLE STRENGTH THERACREAM. It is specially formulated for the thicker skin as on the feet and will quickly penetrate any dryness and unpack damaged cells 7 layers deep and restore your skin to a healthy wholeness.

Please keep me posted on your progress Ms. Nesmith and congratulations on your daughter's soon wedding!

Cracked Fingers, Cracked Feet And Lichen Sclerosis

by Sharon Morgon
(Chicago, IL)

I have been suffering most of my life (55 years old) with cracked fingers, lichen sclerosis (I call it similar to my hand) in the lady part area and super, super bad dry cracked feet. I have tried everything as you can probably imagine, and asked many, many doctors. I can't convince them I am truly allergic to MINERAL OIL. So I am always sent away with cortisone which seems to help for a couple of days & it comes right back ONLY WORSE! Then I have tried so many products out in the stores. You can't imagine how much money has gone down the drain trying product after useless product! After reading all of your wonderful and helpful information, I want to try your creams and wash, especially because of the UREA.

What I should buy exactly of your products and do you think possibly that all three of my symptom areas are related? I am desperate. Thank you so much. Sharon Morgon

by: Nanette From Skin-Remedies.com

Hello Sharon,

I certainly can feel your frustration. Most products today contain a large amount of mineral oil because it is a cheap filler. It is a by product of making gasoline from petroleum and it is inert and suffocates the pores. Some people can have a very bad reaction to it. Further, there is real evidence that outbreaks on different parts of the body are linked to each other by the vulnerability of the genetic coding each of us has. Most doctors, even with all of their study of the human anatomy, do not fully understand cause and effect and the bodily responses resultant. Their primary directive is to attempt to remove a symptom with some drug or steroid cream which only masks the symptoms and does nothing to produce a healthier body. Add to this, the fact that all drugs carry the risk of side effects and most times produce a "rebound effect" where with the symptoms reappear and many times in a worsened state. I commend you for seeking natural remedies as I will show you which products I recommend and why.

Here is what I strongly recommend you doing to repair your skin. First, what you wash with is so very important and I can't emphasize this enough. As you know, many products on the market today are loaded with harsh, drying ingredients that strip the natural PH of the skin leaving it further vulnerable. I recommend our gentle and pure FACE & BODY WASH that will deeply cleanse and moisturize your skin as well as provide anti bacterial benefits. This is an important feature since a cleanser should leave the skin protected from bacterial growth. You can use this everywhere.

For your hands as well as your private area use MY DAUGHTER'S HAND & BODY THERACREAM and for your feet use our DOUBLE STRENGTH THERACREAM which is formulated for the thicker skin on this area. These rich creams penetrate all 7 layers of skin to unpack dry, damaged cells and restore much needed moisture from the bottom up to the very skin surface for deep healing of the skin tissue. Further, they will stop any itching and reduce the redness and inflammation you may also be experiencing. All of our products are formulated with anti microbial protection as well as skin nurturing ingredients that repair, restore and replenish natural moisture levels in the skin.

Internally, I recommend INTESTINAL BOWEL CLEANSER to remove impacted waste matter and toxic build up as well as assist in cleansing the liver and kidneys. This will greatly help by building and strengthening your immune system which many times, skin conditions stem from a weakened immune system. You will want to further take our GREEN POWERHOUSE to provide your body with the widest array of vitamins, minerals and enzymes needed by the body to repair and replenish. This formula promotes healthy cell growth, functionality and development.
Please feel free to contact me with any other questions Sharon.
Warmest Regards,
Nanette

Hello,

Psoriasis on the foot is a very typical location for this condition as are the elbows, knees and scalp. You must use the "right" natural ingredients that will penetrate the thicker scales of psoriasis and repair the skin 7 layers down.

Here is what I highly recommend:
1) Begin by using our FACE & BODY MOISTURIZING WASH to cleanse with. This is a hypo-allergenic wash with anti-bacterial properties that will begin unpacking the thick patches of psoriasis. Further, it will add much needed moisture to your skin which is so necessary in the repair process. Please note that so many commercial soaps on the market today actually strip away the natural PH of the skin and deplete it of its natural moisture levels. This only exacerbates the problem and in some skin cases, causes it!

2) Next, apply our DOUBLE STRENGTH THERACREAM to the affected areas twice daily (morning and evening being the best times). This "double the formula" cream quickly penetrates the thick patches as well as the 7 layers of skin and begins to unpack the dry, damaged cells lifting them to the surface while filling the cells below with much needed moisture. Please be consistent in your application and you will see the results you need.

Follow these steps and please keep me posted on your progress.

Warm Regards,
Nanette

Cracked Heels and Dry Fingertips

by Cheryl
(Wisconsin)

Good Evening -
I was wondering which cream you would recommend for me as I am very interested in the remedy for
cracked heels - bottom of feet treatments. I also have have very dry fingertips,, very tender
just like having paper-cuts when I don't have a lot of cream on them. I wear artificial nails, but someone suggested that was causing the dryness. I was thinking of going back to wearing them, I feel they protect the ends of my fingers, What are your thoughts on that?

I really appreciate your quick response, I have had this problem for a year, even went to a cancer clinic, they prescribed a cream, but it didn't work.

Again, Thank you for your quick reply.

by: Nanette from Skin-Remedies.com

Hello and Good Day Cheryl,

Thank you for contacting us with your question. For your cracked heels you will want to use the DOUBLE STRENGTH THERACREAM which is specially formulated for the thicker skin on the feet. The skin on the bottom of the feet is much thicker and harder to penetrate than other areas of the body. This formula quickly penetrates the 7 layers of skin on the feet to rapidly repair and restore the skin and remove the dried up dead skin cells from deep within the skin structure.

For your fingertips use MY DAUGHTER'S HAND & BODY THERACREAM and keep it with you and use it as needed. Our hands and especially the fingers take a lot of abuse from the amount of use they get. Also, we often wash our hands a good number of times in the day and commercially purchased soaps can really dry out the skin. You may want to consider our FACE & BODY MOISTURIZING WASH which does exactly what the name indicates which is to begin the moisturizing and healing process. Both of these products have the capability of providing repair factors to the skin 7 layers deep. It will not only repair damaged skin but keep it moisturized and protected all day long. I would also recommend discontinuing the application of artificial nails for a while and applying a special coat of the HAND & BODY THERACREAM to the nail beds and cuticles to help restore and strengthen them. These are my strong recommendations for you and you WILL see results!

Please keep me posted on your progress.

Warm Regards,
Nanette

Suffering From Plantar Keratosis From Last 5 Years

by Suman Verma
(Jjaipur, Rajasthan)

It occurred on both the soles of my feet. First, small round yellow-white patches appeared, then the fissures occurred turning the skin into the hardest form they can, which causes pain, and I am restricted from walking. Apart from lengthy allopathy and homeopathy treatments, I have taken, I have now stopped seeing doctors.

But the worst thing is when I opt for home remedies, which prove good initially but after 2-3 months, the same condition reappears. Some of the home remedies I have used are:
1. coconut oil with pure camphor
2. Neem bark in cow urine
3. mustard oil with neem leaves

Please suggest as to how to stop my skin from getting hardened, as once the fissures appear, it takes at least 3 months to get the skin clear of it.

Response To Suffering From Plantar Keratosis From Last 5 Years
by: Nanette from Skin-Remedies.com

Hello Suman,

First, for our website viewers I will say that Plantar Keratosis is marked by deeper calluses with precisely defined edges which is usually quite painful. This condition often has a deep, white area in its center with a clear area around.

There are a number of causes for Plantar Keratosis which includes tight or poorly fitting shoes, hammertoe deformity, or long lesser metatarsals. In poorly fitting shoes, the toes may become buckled in a tight toe box and create a retrograde hammertoe effect. This forces the toe on top of the lesser metatarsal head and drives the head down against the plantar fat pad. Long lesser metatarsals also have added weight-bearing stress shifted to them, potentially causing tough, hardened calluses.

Obviously, the actual cause promoting your symptoms will need to be addressed by someone who can examine you, however, to help remove the calluses and restore and repair the skin on your feet I very highly recommend our DOUBLE STRENGTH THERACREAM. This thick and fast penetrating cream contains a very important ingredient called urea. Urea causes hard dry skin cells to "unpack" and be brought to the skin's surface for exfoliation. Then, urea exposes the water binding sites of the cells 7 layers down, thereby enabling the cell to absorb and retain additional moisture.

This action is also known as hydrotopic solubilization and several independent clinical investigations and studies prove that it works. By virtue of it's inherent qualities urea skin cream produces astonishing results as a callus skin treatment. You should apply this cream morning and night.

Please keep me posted on your progress Suman.

Warm Regards,
Nanette

Response To: Psoriasis On My Foot
by: Nanette From Skin-Remedies.com

Hello Esther,

Psoriasis on the foot is a very typical location for this condition as are the elbows, knees and scalp. You will receive the BEST short as well as long term results by seeking a natural remedy for this condition as you are.

In as little as 3 to 5 days you should begin to see a dramatic response to your psoriasis condition.

Follow these steps and please keep me posted on your progress Esther.

Warm Regards,
Nanette

Urea creams healing foot corns

by Simone
(Maryland)

I have been dealing with corns on my feet for my entire life. And as you may know they are embarassing and uncomfortable. I have tried nearly everything to get rid of them. From home remedies to Dr. Scholls. Nothing has worked. But I tried some product which contained some percentage of urea and it healed my dry feet but I guess the amount of urea wasn't enough for the thick skin that made up the corn. Also I have eczema and I know somehow the keratin issue is related in both the eczema and corns, and as I know urea may work for that eczema too. So I was wondering, before I took the drastic measure of having them surgically removed, would a product with a high urea percentage work for corns? And if you knew any proven products that would work.

Yes! Urea Creams Can & Do Repair Foot Corns
by: Nanette from Skin-Remedies.com

Hi Simone,

Yours is a common question that our company receives quite often. Yes! Urea Creams can and do repair foot corns. Our DOUBLE STENGTH THERACREAM contains 20% urea and is twice the strength of our other formulas and is designed specifically to penetrate the thicker skin problems on the feet. In fact, so many of our customers are people who work in the health industries or food services who have to stand on their feet for many hours in a day. Feet that are under this type of stress and demand, often develop gaping cracks, splits and hardened corns. Our product is a favorite because it goes to work "fast" in just a few days and keeps the skin on the feet soft and supple. Both our DOUBLE STRENGTH THERACREAM and our HAND & BODY THERACREAM will work great for your eczema as well and will restore the natural balance of the skin's function.

All the Best To You!
Nanette

Love the Double Strength TheraCream!

by Helen B.
(Melbourne, Australia )

I am wondering if you will be having any special deals coming up soon for the Christmas Holidays, such as, buy 3 jars and get one free. We have been asked about your Double Strength TheraCream by a couple of relatives so I thought we may order quite a few jars, give them each one and pass on your website details. I don't want to go ahead and order and then miss a special by a few days. The cream is just wonderful and my husband said to hurry and order a good stock of it in case you decided to no longer produce it. I'm sure this would never be the case. Kind regards,

Punctate Keratoderma
by: Anonymous

Hi, I have Punctate Keratoderma. I noticed the lumps under my skin when I was in primary school. It is the different form under my feet. They started appearing about twenty years ago and with only three or four or five. I wasn't worried. However now and after treatments that have failed from a skin specialist who said not to shave them back, which I could not adhere to. I continually file them back. They are getting worse all the time. I have a huge one on the heel of one foot and a huge one under the big toe of the same foot. Last Summer I was very conscious of this problem as the summer sandals were gorgeous and I wanted to wear them so I went about seeking treatments. I went back to my skin specialist who referred me for treatment by a dermatologist at my local hospital. When I presented for my appointment which was to be the first of a series, the doctor said the treatment would not work with my condition. It was then I discovered the name of my condition. He put a photo up on the screen and wrote down the name for me. At least I found out what my condition is. I prefer a natural treatment to help or eliminate these awful lumpy thick bits. Urea based creams seem to soften the lumps and they have been the best so far!!

Response To: Punctate Palmoplantar Keratoderma
by: Nanette From Skin-Remedies.com

Hello Ian,

I will give you my strong recommendations for your condition but first, for our website viewers, I will explain that Punctuate Keratodermas results in tiny bumps of thickened skin on the palms and soles and usually appears in late childhood or early adulthood. Punctate Keratodermas is a condition inherited by an autosomal dominant pattern (the abnormal gene is passed on from an affected parent). Some people with filiform keratoderma have no apparent family history of the condition. There are three different types of punctuate-type keratoderma: Punctate Keratoderma: tiny hard rounded bumps in the palms or soles, Filiform Keratoderma: tiny hard ?spikes? of skin growing out of the skin of the palms and soles and sometimes elsewhere on the skin and Marginal Keratoderma: tiny bumps along the border of the palms and fingers, soles and toes.

The other condition you mentioned, Hyperhidrosis, is the condition characterized by abnormally increased perspiration in excess of that required for regulation of body temperature. Hyperhidrosis can either be generalized or localized to specific parts of the body. Hands, feet, armpits, and the groin area are among the most active regions of perspiration due to the relatively high concentration of sweat glands; however, any part of the body may be affected.

To answer your question, the cause of primary hyperhidrosis is unknown, although some research claims that it is caused by sympathetic overactivity. Nervousness or excitement can exacerbate the situation for many sufferers. Other factors can play a role; certain foods and drinks, nicotine, caffeine, and smells can trigger a response.

Here are my recommendations for the Punctuate Keratodermas on your hands and feet:

First, wash with our FACE & BODY WASH which is a non-soap anti-bacterial cleanser to cleanse away skin bacteria and begin unpacking the hardened pockets of dead cells. Then apply our DOUBLE STRENGTH THERACREAM which is a highly therapeutic cream which has the capability to penetrate the thickened, dry skin on the soles of your feet and your palms as well as the 7 layers of skin to unpack the dry cells, lift them upwards and replace much needed moisture. This cream has anti-bacterial, anti-microbial and anti-fungal properties to protect your hands and feet all day long. My suggestion is to apply twice daily until the keratin plugs and calluses are gone and then once daily for maintenance and protection.

For your hyperhidrosis, you may want to consider our INTESTINAL BOWEL CLEANSER for internal deep toxic and waste cleansing of the body as well as our GREEN POWERHOUSE for the highest level of nutrition available to strengthen your body, skin and immune system.

Please keep me posted on your progress Ian.

Warm Regards,
Nanette
