I have been diagnosed with eczema and rosacea for years, but in my opinion, both are mild compared to what I have seen on others. In the winter, my skin gets very dry and itchy, especially my shins which can wake me at night scratching. The rosacea is pretty mild on my face but was worse in my eyes, though I was never officially diagnosed with ocular rosacea. With the cessation of my periods, it has gotten much better. I have always had dry skin and have used lots of different products. I even succumbed to my derm specialist and tried a 1 week stint of steroid cream on my eyebrows. It didn't help. With the exception of that steroid cream, in the last few years I have been much more careful and conscious to choose pure and natural products, preferring to use organic oils when possible and avoiding many of the ingredients you talk about.
Lately, and I am 53 now, my eyebrows and nose are so red after I wash my face. The redness subsides afterward, but the skin under my eyebrows is puckered and itchy and dry. It has progressed now so that my eyebrow hairs are growing more like antennae and not laying flat (and very sparse as well.)
My thyroid is fine-checked that already.
I also have female pattern hair loss and am considering LLLT for that.
Your recommendations for eczema and rosacea are slightly different. What would you recommend for someone like me with both issues and crazy eyebrows?
Thanks for your help.
